‘Euphoria’ star Angus Cloud dead at 25
Angus Cloud, who portrays Fezco, the fan-favorite teenage drug dealer on HBO’s “Euphoria,” has died just one week after his dad was buried.
The Post can confirm that Cloud, whose real name is Conor Angus Cloud Hickey, died at his family’s home in Oakland.
He was just 25.
His family confirmed the star’s passing in a statement Monday to The Post: “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”
A cause of death was not listed, though Cloud’s family revealed that he was grieving the recent loss of his dad.
“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
They concluded: “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
TMZ first broke the news of Cloud’s death.
Although “Euphoria” was Cloud’s first-ever acting gig, he was classmates with the series’ star Zendaya at the School of Production Design at Oakland School for the Arts.
Cloud was walking down the street in Manhattan when an employee of famed casting agent Jennifer Venditti approached him about auditioning for “Euphoria.”
“She asked me if I would be down to do an audition, but she didn’t exactly say what it was for. I thought it was some type of scam,” he told the Wall Street Journal in 2019.
An HBO spokesperson told The Post in a statement: “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
