Euro 2024 qualifying: Abat Aimbetov nets winner, is sent off minutes later as Kazakhstan stun Denmark
Kazakhstan pulled off a stunning comeback to beat Denmark 3-2 in Euro 2024 qualifying.
After losing their opening game to Slovenia, Kazakhstan were odds-on to suffer a second defeat as they trailed to a pair of first-half goals from Rasmus Hojlund.
If any fans left the Astana Arena early they would have a deep sense of regret as it all changed in the final 17 minutes.

Baktiyor Zaynutdinov converted from the spot after Jonas Wind was penalised for handball, but that was a mere taster as Askhat Tagybergen lashed home a stunning drive from 25 yards on 86 minutes to draw Kazakhstan level.
The home side were not done, as Abat Aimbetov headed home what proved to be the winner on 89 minutes to spark wild celebrations.
Aimbetov wheeled away in delight and took his top off in celebration, and it proved a costly decision as it earned him a caution. Minutes later, deep in injury time, he was shown a second yellow card for a flailing arm when challenging for the ball, and had to trudge off the field – albeit he and Kazakhstan had the last laugh by taking the three points.
Top spot in Group H belongs to Slovenia who eased to a 2-0 win over San Marino thanks to an effort from Benjamin Sesko and an own goal from Roberto Di Maio.
Northern Ireland face Finland later on Sunday.
Iceland bounced back from their loss to Bosnia and Herzegovina to get up and running in Group J with a 7-0 win at Liechtenstein. Aron Gunnarsson picked up the match ball with a hat-trick for his side.
Luxembourg take on Portugal and Bosnia and Herzegovina travel to Slovakia later on Sunday.
