The road to the Oscars has almost reached its end.
The final award show before Hollywood’s biggest night, the 2024 SAG Awards, is just around the corner.
The 30th annual ceremony will take place on Feb. 24, celebrating the best and brightest across the film and television industries.
Barbra Streisand will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s show.
The categories are voted on by all SAG-AFTRA members in good standing who paid their November 2023 dues by Dec. 11. The actor’s union had a rocky year, due to being on strike from July to November.
Earlier this month, “Ted Lasso” star Phil Dunster and “Red, White and Royal Blue” actor Taylor Zakhar Perez were announced as the SAG Awards ambassadors.
According to a press release obtained by People, Dunster, 31, and Perez, 32, will “provide viewers with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the ceremony and participate in various SAG Awards pre-show events.”
The two men “exemplify the utmost values of the profession and are positive role models for the next generation of performers,” the statement continued. “These individuals actively use their platform to advocate for humanitarian and public service endeavors.”
The SAG Awards are often seen as a precursor to the Academy Awards, with viewers using the show to help predict who will win at the Oscars.
The 96th Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood are set for March 10.
