Ex-teacher Tatum Hatch allegedly sent sexual messages to Louisiana teen

A Louisiana teacher allegedly sent a 15-year-old boy nude photos, inappropriately touched him in her car with her young child present and told the teen she was worried she wouldn’t be the one to take his virginity, according to authorities.

Tatum Hatch, 32, was arrested Wednesday after she and the teen exchanged indecent messages for about a year-and-a-half where she suggested he come through her bedroom window to have sex with her, court documents alleged.

About a year ago the pair met up near the victim’s home where Hatch allegedly touched the boy’s genitals while her infant was in the car, court docs said, KTVE reported.

The educator also allegedly told the teen another time she was scared he’d find someone else to be his “first” after the boy told her he was scared, the station reported.

The alleged relationship blew up when the victim’s father found out and contacted police.

The boy then showed investigators with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office messages on Instagram between him and the teacher, who resigned from her job in late December when the probe first started, KTVE reported.

The victim also claimed Hatch sent over nude selfies, but the pics disappeared because she used vanish mode on Instagram. A nude photo was recovered though after a forensic download was done, court documents said.

Hatch allegedly admitted to law enforcement in mid-December she spoke to the boy through Instagram, but didn’t answer some questions because she was afraid she’d lose her children, the outlet reported.

She’s facing a charge of computer aided solicitation of a minor.

Hatch left her job at West Monroe High School on Dec. 26 after she was placed on administrative lead on Dec. 15, the Ouachita Parish school board reportedly said.
