Fans nearly trampled at wild Karol G concert in NYC
A concert by Colombian reggaeton singer Karol G erupted into chaos in Rockefeller Center Friday when fans pushed through a metal barrier — nearly trampling a woman and child, wild photos show.
A crowd of roughly 15,000 people had gathered for the “Amargura” singer’s base-heavy performance at around 8 a.m., when eager fans knocked over the barricade and began rushing toward the stage.
The singer, who has recorded hits with superstar songstress Shakira, was hitting the stage for the Citi Concert summer series when the mayhem broke out.
Nobody was reported injured at the show, FDNY officials said.
“All of you are my dream come true,” Karol G told fans during the performance.
The singer won the Latin Grammy Award for best new artist in 2018 and has been nominated for several Billboard Latin Music awards.
