FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup: Jakara Anthony and Mikael Kingsbury end season on golden high

Australia’s Jakara Anthony wrapped up her golden moguls World Cup season with victory in her final outing in Italy.

Beating the USA’s Jaelin Kauf for gold, with Elizabeth Lemley grabbing bronze, Anthony picked up the moguls and dual moguls little globes and the overall crystal globe in style.

The 25-year-old, who has 14 wins to her name this season, posted an incredible 1,480 points for her second overall career title, with Kauf her closest competitor on 1,064 points.

Canada’s Mikael Kingsbury joined Anthony with victory in the men’s event in Italy.

Kingsbury had already clinched his fourth consecutive crystal globe in the dual moguls and the overall moguls title with victory in Kazakhstan and ensured he finished on a high with his 10th victory of the season.

Japan’s Takuya Shimakawa grabbed silver whilst the USA’s Nick Page took bronze in Italy.

With the season now complete, Kingsbury topped the overall podium with a staggering 1,300 points.

He was joined on the overall podium by Japan’s Ikuma Horishima with 982 points and Sweden’s Filip Gravenfors with 705 points.
