FIS Nordic Combined World Cup: Jarl Magnus Riiber and Ida Marie Hagen seal nordic combined titles

Jarl Magnus Riiber and Ida Marie Hagen both sealed Nordic Combined World Cup overall crystal globes with victories in Oslo.

Riiber sealed his fifth overall crystal globe with a dominant victory on home ice, as he finished one minute and 28.6 seconds ahead of Johannes Lamparter in second.

The Norwegian entered the 10km race with a 78-second head start from the jump, with his score of 142.6 almost 20 points better than Lamparter in second.

He made good of his advantage, powering home to victory to seal his 16th World Cup victory of the season and with it the overall crystal globe.

Lamparter held on for second ahead of compatriot Stefan Rettenegger in third, with the pair edging out Joergen Graabak for the podium.

There was further Norwegian success in the women’s event, as Hagen sealed her maiden overall crystal globe.

Hagen sat third after the jump, with fellow Norwegian Mari Leinan Lund leading with 142.7 points ahead of Gyda Westvold Hansen.

But Hagen overhauled the 80-second deficit in the ski, edging out Lund by just 2.6 seconds to finish in 14:47.6, with Westvold Hansen finishing third to complete a Norwegian podium sweep for the second race in succession.

The result ensured Hagen’s place at the top of the standings with one event still to go in Trondheim.
