Florence Pugh shocks with shaved head at Met Gala 2023

She caused quite the buzz.

“Don’t Worry Darling” star Florence Pugh arrived at the 2023 Met Gala with an ethereal presence – and a shaved head.

Her look paid tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic monochromatic look, including a sleek black suit buttoned up with a tie.

Along with her silky white gown, complete with an expansive train and tied with a dainty black bow, she sported a crown of feathers on her Valentino headpiece.

But her most buzzworthy accessory wasn’t her fashion.

It was her hair — or lack thereof.

The “Midsommar” actress debuted her freshly shaved head, drawing attention to her sky-high halo of plumes and dramatic cat’s eye makeup.

In an interview with the New York Times ahead of Monday night’s gala, the 27-year-old alluded to the extravagance of the number, calling it “big” – “but we like big, don’t we?” the cheeky star addressed Valentino’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.

“The whole point is that you are expressing yourself with what you are wearing,” she explained, adding that it “doesn’t matter if people don’t necessarily like it.

“I don’t think anything that I do has to be 100% loved,” she continued. “Things being up for debate is good. It means people are interested.”

But Twitter users were clearly fans of Miss Flo’s daring new look.

“Love her shaved head,” wrote one user.

“Mom serving,” applauded another.

“She looks amazing,” complimented someone else.

Just last week, Pugh was photographed at the re-opening of Tiffany and Co.’s flagship store on 52nd Street.

She dazzled on the Tiffany blue carpet in a sheer, mint green frock and a blunt blond lob with bangs.
