Florida man Dalton Reed arrested after throwing lollipop at Family Dollar manager

An irate Florida man got into a sticky legal situation when he allegedly tossed a lollipop at a Family Dollar manager during a heated argument Wednesday, authorities wrote in an affidavit obtained by the Smoking Gun.
Dalton Reed, 24, was arrested and charged with simple battery, a misdemeanor, following the confrontation in Clearwater, according to jail records.
As he waited on line to be checked out at the chain store, Reed got into a verbal argument with the manager that boiled over when he threw the lollipop at him, the document alleged.
The piece of candy hit the manager in the chest, with the incident “caught on camera and witnessed by employee,” the affidavit states.
The victim was not injured, police said.
A judge ordered Reed not to go back to the Family Dollar store or have any contact with the manager, the outlet reported.
Reed was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following the incident, jail records state.
