French Open: Casper Ruud survives scare against Zhizhen Zhang to move into fourth round
Casper Ruud survived a brief scare against Zhizhen Zhang to move into the fourth round 4-6 6-4 6-1 6-4.
Zhang was making a name for himself during the first set with some extremely impressive serving that put Ruud under pressure. He broke the Norwegian in the first game and then again in the ninth to take a shock opening set.

Ruud broke back quickly in the second but Zhang broke him back as the favourite continued to look anxious with his play.

But the 2022 finalist dug deep and found the other break he needed to level things up at one set apiece.
Ruud then began to move through the gears as he stepped up the intensity and powered through the third set, winning it 6-1.
And Ruud made short work of his opponent in the fourth set, wrapping up victory and moving into the fourth round.
Ruud will face either Nicolas Jarry or Marcos Giron in the next round.
