There’s a new hot spot in New York City.
Starting April 1, 2024, the Olivier winning “Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club” opens at New York City’s August Wilson Theatre and will run well into 2025.
The classic musical, featuring Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne as The Emcee and “Perry Mason” star Gayle Rankin until August 2024, takes place in 1929-30 Berlin and tells the story of American writer Clifford Bradshaw and his relationship with English cabaret star Sally Bowles.
“This is it. This is the one. A kill for a ticket triumph,” raved The Telegraph.
Thankfully, you won’t have to commit any crimes to see this decorated musical on Broadway.
At the time of publication, tickets are available for all performances.
They will cost you, though.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets was $146 before fees on Vivid Seats.

“Cabaret” cast
To match names to faces, here’s a quick briefing on where you’ve seen “Cabaret’s” seven biggest stars before:
Eddie Redmayne (The Emcee) won the Oscar for the Steven Hawking biopic “The Theory of Everything.” He’s no one trick pony, though. The 41-year-old actor has also received acclaim for “The Danish Girl,” “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7.”
Gayle Rankin (Sally Bowles) is only 34 but has already become a familiar face thanks to her work in Netflix’s “GLOW” as well as the films “The Greatest Showman,” “Her Smell,” “Blow the Man Down” and “The Climb.” Prior to “Cabaret,” she appeared in “Hamlet” at the Public Theatre in 2017.
Bebe Neuwirth (Fraulein Schneider) may be “Cheers’” Dr. Lilith Sternin to some but to others, she’s one of the best theater actresses around. Over her 40-plus years in the biz, Neuwirth has netted two Tony Awards for her work in “Sweet Charity” and “Chicago” as well as a Drama Desk Award. And of course, make sure you don’t sleep on her work in “An Extremely Goofy Movie” either.
Ato Blankson-Wood (Cliff) starred in Jeremy O. Harris’ acclaimed “Slave Play” back in 2021, which garnered him a Tony nomination. You may have also seen him in “Detroit,” and “BlacKKKlansman” or on TV in “The Good Fight,” “She’s Gotta Have It,” and “When They See Us.”
Steven Skybell (Herr Schultz) has done it all. On Broadway, he’s appeared in the 2015 revival of “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Pal Joey,” “Wicked” and many more. For folks that don’t make it to the theater often, you may have seen him in “Blue Bloods,” “Elementary,” “Chicago P.D.,” “Cradle Will Rock” or the film “Simply Irresistible.”
Natascia Diaz (Fraulein Kost/Fritzie) showed off her versatility playing Anita in “West Side Story” and Fosca in “Passion” over the years. Other notable Broadway roles include Bird Girl in “Seussical” and Antonia in “Man of La Mancha.” Astute TV viewers will likely recognize her from her work in “FBI,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Damages,” “Law & Order” and “Oz.”
Henry Gottfried (Ernst Ludwig) rounds out the main cast. His biggest credits include the Broadway production of “Waitress” and national tours of “Bright Star” and “Pippin.” On TV, he’s popped up in “Dear Edward” and “Peter Pan Live!”
About “Cabaret”
This isn’t your standard, stuffy affair.

“These will feature entertainment, drinks and dining, all of it evoking a certain pre-World War II period of German late night history.”
