The nu-metal rockers just announced a quick eight-concert tour from April through May 2024 with special guests Seether, I Prevail, The Struts, Asking Alexandra, Ayron Jones and more.

Along the way, controversial frontman Aaron Lewis and co. will stop into Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center for the annual Rock The Rock Fest on Thursday, April 25.

This upcoming run will likely celebrate the band’s classic hit-filled catalog as well as their new record “Confessions Of The Fallen,” the group’s first since 2011.

“I want(ed) to modernize the sound and bring us up to date,” lead singer Aaron Lewis shared.

“You can certainly recognize the band but at the same time you can hear that we’ve been paying attention and understand what kind of sounds and approaches we can use that maybe weren’t around the last time we did this.”

And if you want to hear Staind’s new sound live, tickets are available for all shows as of today.

At the time of publication, prices start at $52 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Other shows have seats starting in the $55 to $80 range.

Staind new music

On Sept. 15, Staind dropped their eighth studio album “Confessions Of The Fallen.”

The ten-track, 35-minute record is a return to the band’s edgy, post-grunge rock. By our estimation, all the songs here wouldn’t feel out of place on the group’s seminal late ’90s and early ’00s output that made their name even with all the new tricks up their sleeve.

While most of the record rocks hard, our team was won over by the thoughtful “Better Days,” a nice change of pace for the album.

Aaron Lewis controversy

At the height of the pandemic, Lewis, 51, was an outspoken critic of the COVID-19 vaccine and masking.

According to Billboard, Lewis suggested the government “made billions and billions” from quarantined Americans during early days of the pandemic at a March 2022 show in Ohio.

He allegedly also boasted about getting the coronavirus twice while refusing and “did just fine.”
