GoFundMe stops nudes fundraiser to help Maui wildfire victims
$10 made them holler.
GoFundMe took down the fundraiser OnlyFans model and Honolulu resident Mariah Casillas, 22, launched to aid Maui wildfire relief — by sending donors nude photos.
“Gofundme took down my account but that isn’t going to stop me from doing what I can to help the people of Maui,” Casillas, also known online as Lavaxgrll, tweeted last week.
“I’ll be making a list of nonprofits to donate towards instead, you can still send me your screenshots!”
A GoFundMe spokesperson told The Post on Monday: “This fundraiser was removed from our platform as it violated our Terms of Service — specifically the ‘Prohibited Conduct’ section — and all donors have been refunded. “
The statement continued: “To make it easier for people who want to help those affected, GoFundMe has launched a centralized hub housing all verified fundraisers related to the Maui wildfires. Our Trust & Safety team will continue to update the hub with more fundraisers as they are verified.”
Casillas was quick to point out Monday on TMZ that she wasn’t sending the nudes through GoFundMe.
She said she was up to $7,800 in donations when the crowdfunding platform pulled the plug.
“EVERY $10 = 1 NUDE, LET’S GO,” she wrote on Aug. 14.
The Post has contacted Casillas for comment.
Undeterred, Casillas decided to take the fundraiser over to her OnlyFans page, where thirsty fans-turned-philanthropists can still get a nude if they fork over at least $10 for wildfire relief.
“Now let’s take it to the OF y’all.. Maui needs us,” she tweeted Thursday.
Last week, Casillas told The Post it’s no “gimmick” — she’s really sending money to Maui victims.
“I just want to get the word out — and for people to stop thinking it’s a gimmick,” she explained. “I love this Island and would do anything for it. The money isn’t going to me and it’s not a promo for anything but raising money.”
“Maui is a sacred, beautiful place and there are some horrible things going on right now,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “They really need our help.”
Casillas swore that all proceeds will go directly to those affected by the disaster.
“I have put together a team to help me disperse these funds to the families, households, and those that need immediate relief,” she added.
Authorities said Monday at least 114 people are confirmed dead and some 850 more are still unaccounted for as a result of the wildfires that began Aug. 8.
