Golden Globes 2023 nominations announced

The Golden Globes are back again to shake up Hollywood.

After forgoing this year’s ceremony, the coveted award show is back on NBC and nominations for the 2023 event are being announced Monday.

George Lopez and his daughter Mayan Lopez held court at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to reveal the nods.

The two presented the nominations across 27 categories for the show — which is set to air on Jan. 10 on NBC and will be live-streamed on Peacock.

The 80th annual Golden Globes nominations were announced during NBC’s “Today” show.

The 2022 ceremony was canned after its voting body the Hollywood Foreign Press Association came under fire a lack of diversity within the organization, as well as alleged ethical issues.

Comedian Jerrod Carmichael is hosting next year’s event. “We’re so excited to have Jerrod Carmichael host the historic 80th Golden Globe Awards,” HFPA president Helen Hoehne said in a statement on Dec. 8.

“His comedic talents have entertained and thrilled audiences while providing thought-provoking moments that are so important in the times we live,” Hoehne said.
