‘Greedy’ NYC landlord blasted for rent hike on rat-infested apartment

This Brooklyn woman’s landlord is totally buggin’!

For a roach-infested Williamsburg apartment prone to flooding and overrun by a sea of dead rats, TikTok knockout Trina Rose’s landlord is tacking on a staggering $800 increase to her already sky-high New York City rent.

“Hi Trina, we’re increasing your rent $800 because it’s what the apartment [is] worth,” Rose, 28, penned in the closed captions of her trending TikTok tell-all, which has commanded more than 148,300 views so far.

Her post comes as controversies surrounding inflation and Big Apple rent hikes trend on social media. However, recent research conducted by Redfin showed that rent increases may soon be “coming to an end.”

That possibility notwithstanding, by the looks of her viral video, Rose’s landlords should be paying her to live there.

Rose did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

In her cringeworthy clip, Rose, a sex and body positivity advocate, gives her more than 40,800 followers gruesome glimpses at her inhabitable digs while a cheeky “because that’s what it’s worth” sound bite plays in the background.

She kicks off the video tour with scenes from her bathroom, which is flooded with several inches of water. The footage then transitions to a serpentine line of hulking, yet dead, cockroaches littered across her tiled floors. But the most egregious sight is the horde of drowned rats that are strewn about her house. Rose even films herself scooping up the vermin, by hand, and disposing of the little menaces in a plastic bag.

And with that, sickened cyber spectators begged Rose to bring legal action against her “greedy bastard” of a landlord.

“Girl take your landlord to housing court, you’ll win,” wrote a concerned commentator.

“Breach of lease my friend. Leave there [please],” urged another.

In response, Rose shared a follow-up testimonial, explaining to her digital disciples that after she and her roommate told the property manager they wouldn’t be able to afford an extra $800 on their $3,000 rent, he listed the unlivable crib online for $4,700 a month.

“The greedy bastard … listed it for $1,700 more than what me and my roommate are paying now,” the brunette barked.

Rose claims her landlord is now attempting to lease her vermin-infested apartment for nearly $5,000.

“He listed the apartment for [$4,700] a month,” she yelled. “And is he going to put $1,700 of improvements into this place? No. It’s still gonna have the roaches, it’s still going to be attracting rats in the back and if there’s a f–king tropical storm, it’s gonna flood.”

Rose ended her recorded rant — which she titled “Brooklyn Rent Scam,” and punctuated with a series of “alarm” emojis — by offering a stern word-to-the-wise for home-hunters hoping to relocate to her borough.

“If you’re looking in Brooklyn, on Woodpoint Road, for an apartment that is listed at $4,700 a month, your getting scammed,” she advised.

“You’re getting scammed.”
