Guns N’ Roses cancels Glasgow show due to ‘illness and medical advice’
Guns N’ Roses pulled the plug on their show in Glasgow on Tuesday amid an undisclosed illness and medical advice.
The rock band shared the news in a social media post on Monday that the show at the Glasgow Green in Scotland had been canceled.
“Sadly, due to illness and medical advice, GN’R will not be able to perform in Glasgow, tomorrow 5-July-2022,” read the statement.
“We are working on rescheduling options for this show so please hold onto your tickets and wait for a further update. We appreciate your understanding and patience.”
While details about his ailment are still a mystery, frontman Axl Rose revealed that he had been to the doctor and would be switching up the setlist.
“So I went to the doctors and all that stuff. I slept here last night to make sure,” the 60-year-old frontman said in a video recorded in London that was posted to Twitter.
“So I’ll be switching the songs around a little bit, vocally. I hope you don’t mind. We would like to keep going.”
The news of the illness comes after the band was joined by Carrie Underwood for two surprise appearances on Friday and Saturday night, People reported.
Guns N’ Roses is expected to wrap the first part of their tour on July 15 in Hanover, Germany, and resume in September in South America.
