Halvor Egner Granerud caps brilliant season with second Crystal Globe and Raw Air title in Vikersund
Halvor Egner Granerud became the first Norwegian man to win two Crystal Globes before wrapping up the overall Raw Air title on a memorable day in Vikersund.
The home jumper, who won his first world crown in 2021, was confirmed as World Cup champion when his closest challenger, Poland’s Dawid Kubacki, pulled out of Sunday’s competition due to personal reasons.
Granerud has won 14 events this season and his 2058 points put him in an unassailable lead.

He then went on to finish second behind Stefan Kraft, who jumped 246.5 and 235.5 metres to score 497.4 points and take gold in the final event of the Raw Air series.
Part of the World Cup season, Raw Air is a no-break 10-day tournament in Norway and Granerud arrived at Sunday’s final competition ahead in the standings following four wins.
His silver medal was enough to score 2932 overall Raw Air points, just 18.2 more than Kraft, while Slovenia’s Anze Lanisek completed the podium in third.
