Harry Kane receives ‘much better’ offer to join mystery club next year – Paper Round

Kane receives ‘much better’ offer to leave Spurs next year

Harry Kane has received an offer to join a rival club which could derail Bayern Munich’s bid to sign the striker, according to reports in Germany.

The report states the proposal has come “at short notice”, adding: “As is well known, Paris Saint-Germain is looking for a top-class replacement for (Kylian) Mbappe. Chelsea and Manchester United cannot be ruled out either.”

In its report, The Sun says that Kane is having doubts about “uprooting” his family and could turn his back on the German giants.

Spurs monitoring Eze

Tottenham could make an offer to Crystal Palace for their midfielder Eberechi Eze.

The Daily Mail covers the story, first reported by Football.London, that Spurs “are keeping a watchful eye on his situation” as they look to bulk up their midfield following the injury to Bryan Gil.

Eze is said to have attracted the attention of several clubs after an impressive three-year stint at Selhurst Park. He made his debut for England in the 4-0 win over Malta in June.

Maguire weighing up West Ham offer

Harry Maguire is yet to decide if he wishes to leave Manchester United for West Ham, claims The Daily Mail.

Erik ten Hag’s side are understood to have accepted a £30m bid for the England international but, according to the report, “The Hammers are awaiting confirmation that Maguire wants to make the move”.

The story continues: “Maguire could yet insist on staying at United, where he is contracted until 2025 with the option to extend for a further year, or wait to see if other offers arrive for him in the summer’s transfer window.”

De Gea ‘on verge’ of joining Real Madrid

Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is “on the verge” of joining Real Madrid.

De Gea is a free agent after his contract expired following 12 years at Old Trafford. He almost signed for Los Blancos in 2015 only for the deal to collapse at the last minute.

But eight years later, the 14-time European Cup winners are finally set to get their man. The Daily Mirror carries the story, which was first detailed by talkSPORT.

The 32-year-old is said to be in “advanced talks” with Madrid after Thibaut Courtois suffered a serious knee injury, leaving Andriy Lunin as the only senior goalkeeper in their squad.
