‘Heartbroken’ Andy Cohen says he should have kept his mouth shut over Kate Middleton conspiracies

He’s eating royal crow.

Bravo bigwig Andy Cohen is breaking his silence about Kate Middleton.

“I just want to say, I am heartbroken by the news about Princess Kate, and I think someone on Sky News called me a numpty during that whole conversation and they were right,” Cohen, 55, said during Monday’s episode of  SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live.”

It was his first live show since the Princess of Wales’ cancer announcement.

On March 22, Middleton, 42, announced that she has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment after doctors discovered the cancer during her planned abdominal surgery in January.

“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” the mother of three revealed in a video, insisting that she is “well and getting stronger every day.”

“This of course came as a huge shock, and [Prince] William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she said.

“As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment,” she continued. “But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.”

Following her surgery, Middleton was out of the spotlight for nearly three months with little news from the palace.

This caused wild conspiracy theories about her to flourish on social media.

Cohen joined in on the outlandish theories about what was going on with Middleton.

When video footage came out of Middleton appearing to visit a farm shop  – looking happy and carefree in the midst of the media storm about her whereabouts and well-being – Cohen tweeted, “That ain’t Kate …”

They were right,” Cohen said, referring to Sky News calling him a “numpty.”

“And of course, I wish I had kept my mouth shut and we are all praying for Princess Kate and King Charles,” he said, referring to the monarch also getting his own cancer diagnosis.

“And so, I just had to say that right at the beginning. It’s the first opportunity back in front of a live microphone,” he added, to clarify why he hadn’t remarked on Middleton closer to her March 22 announcement.

Cohen is just the latest celeb to apologize, as “The View” hosts expressed regret, and Blake Lively also apologized.
