Holly Madison says Crystal Hefner ripped off Playboy memoir

Crystal Hefner is just some bunny that Holly Madison used to know.

The “Holly’s World” star, 44, has blasted the widow of late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, 37, for seemingly ripping off her memoir.

Madison published her story about living in the Playboy mansion with her 2015 book “Down the Rabbit Hole,” with Crystal releasing her own memoir about the same subject earlier this year titled “Only Say Good Things.”

The “Girls Next Door” reality personality appeared on the “LadyGang” podcast where she noted that both books sound too similar.

“Anybody who’s read my book that came out eight years ago and then read her book, tell me the narrative voice doesn’t sound exactly the same,” Madison said. “Drives me up a wall.”

She explained that the usage of “fairy tale references” and “psychological catchphrases” in each memoir were nearly identical.

“I’m weirded out by it, especially since she had a ghostwriter,” she went on. “Like, do your research and don’t copy.”

Madison joked: “You would have thought that it went through somebody reading it that would be like, ‘That’s a little bit too similar.’”

Both “Only Say Good Things” and “Down the Rabbit Hole” were manufactured and edited by the same publishing team.

Fellow Playboy playmate Kendra Wilkinson also penned an autobiography called “Sliding into Home” in 2010. However, Madison argued that readers would be able to different the tones between each book.

“If you take my book and Kendra’s book, it’s two completely different people even though we lived there at the same time,” she said. “It’s two completely different voices, as it should be.”

“It’s always hard to come out and tell your story first, especially when you’re crucified for it,” Madison explained. “When my book came out [Hugh] was still alive, it was before the Me Too movement went mainstream … The book was very successful, but I got dragged. Now it’s a little bit easier for other people to come out and share their stories.”

Madison dated Hefner — who died in 2017 at the age of 91 — from 2001 until 2008.

Crystal began seeing the magazine publisher in 2009 and they married in 2012. They were together until his death five years later.
