Hooters waitress reveals strict rules in viral TikTok

The world’s most famous “breastaurant,” Hooters, is strangely reminiscent of of being in “high school” or the “military,” according to one TikTokker.

Jardin Taylor says she’s been a waitress at the orange-clad eatery famous for its wings and women for quite some time — and she’s divulging the juicy secrets of the biz.

Taylor first went viral in March — racking up 4.8 million views with a video featuring several of her Hooters coworkers having a good time and dancing around. However, in just a few seconds, her gal pals were gone and she revealed in the clip: “They all got fired.”

In a new follow-up video with nearly a half-million views, Taylor provided an explanation of the Hooters franchise’s rigid rules that lead some workers to get fired — and why the whole experience can sometimes feel like being in basic training or senior year of secondary school.

She noted how one girl was written up due to being late — and how said-woman called out others for also being tardy without getting reprimanded.

Taylor then recalled how another waitress was fired because of her hair color. “One of the main rules of Hooters is that, whatever you look like when you are hired, you have to maintain that standard,” she said.

She claimed the server’s hair was dyed red instead of black and she was let go for refusing to change the hue back.

Another rule that Hooters enforces, Taylor claimed, is that the girls can only wear studs in their ears and not hoops. No necklaces are allowed and only one ring can be present.

Taylor revealed how one server was dismissed for having a septum piercing in her nose and she didn’t want to take it out.

Meanwhile, some of her 24,300 loyal followers were appalled at the treatment of the waitstaff, commenting: “What is this? The military?,” one quipped, while another said: “I feel like they have rules like high schools do.”

“Hooters rules feel an awful lot like ✨ misogyny ✨,” one commenter interjected. “Hooters is literally the most strict job I ever had.”

Someone else chimed in: “No way. That’s too strict. And for min wage? Oh hell no, I wouldn’t last in that military type system. 😂.”

“Damn they’re strict as hell,” another viewer exclaimed. “I’m glad i don’t work with a corporate restaurant.” Another stated: “The military has more flexible rules than that!”
