Horrifying ‘path of destruction’ after kid gets into the fridge

The mother of a toddler shared a TikTok akin to a “crime scene,” after he managed to get hold of some chocolate cake that was in the fridge.

TikTok user @ryanhmimen showed the aftermath of her son Ryan’s need for a sweet treat, showing a trail of chocolate cake from the fridge to her beige couch.

When she gets to the couch — which the dismayed mom says is “not even two months old” — the tot is lying down having a nap, covered in brown crumbs.

The horrified mom simply added the hashtags “#troublemaker#sleepingtoddler #cakemonster #momsnightmare,” to the clip, which has been viewed 36 million times.

Although the mom was amused by her son’s antics, it was met with mixed responses — some questioning why the toddler was left alone for long enough to cause such chaos.

“I understand kids are quick but this took some time!!” one skeptic user wrote.

“The video is not funny. It is a sign of irresponsibility on the part of the parents. Who knows how long they left that child alone,” commented another.

Others jumped to the mom’s defense.

“This was meant to be funny. No need to shame anyone, parents are imperfect,” a user wrote. “My kids have made some spectacular messes while I’ve been in the bathroom.”

“As a mom of 5 sons, one time I did wake up in the morning to find my 2 yr old covered in cake a sleep [sic] in kitchen, day after his birthday it was 5am,” agreed another.

“Sleeping on crime scene,” joked another user.

In follow-up videos, the mom said she successfully cleaned her couch and her son was safe the entire time.

“I don’t have to explain myself,” she said in the caption of a video after a user accused her of leaving her child unattended. “Obviously you don’t have children.”
