In just a few hours, Lifetime is set to premiere the first two episodes of “Where is Wendy Williams?,” a new docuseries on life after the cancellation of the media personality’s eponymous talk show as she attempts a comeback.
The series comes just days after Williams’ team announced that she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia last year. Per Lifetime, “the documentary provides a raw, honest and unfiltered reality of Wendy’s life after she was placed under financial guardianship, shedding light on the vulnerabilities that have turned Wendy into the Hot Topic herself. Suffering mental and physical issues, Wendy’s delicate state of mind, erratic behavior and declining health were all captured by the cameras.”
“Where is Wendy Williams?” is already proving to be controversial, as a sealed lawsuit was filed by Williams’ temporary guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, with a request for a temporary restraining order — something that’s often filed when someone wants the release of a film or television series stopped.
As it stands now, though, “Where is Wendy Williams?” will air this weekend on Lifetime. Below, we compiled everything you need to know to tune in, including how to watch it for free.
