Manchester United return to UEFA Champions League action on Wednesday night, with Erik ten Hag’s side hoping to bounce back from what has been a tough couple of weeks as they travel to Denmark to take on FC Copenhagen.

The side have won just one of their three Champions League group games this season, losing to both Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.

United currently sit third in the group, a point behind the Turkish Super Lig outfit in second.

Ten Hag’s side will be looking for a win to keep hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages alive, with two games left to play.

Qualification will not come easy, with United still to play Galatasaray away before welcoming the Bundesliga champions to Old Trafford in December.

Despite the recent slump in form, with United eighth in the Premier League table, their Dutch manager vowed to keep fighting after the defeat by Newcastle.

They go into Wednesday’s game as the favourites, but the Danish side will fancy their chances at home, having only lost once in their last five outings across all competitions, which was their defeat to United.

Having claimed back-to-back wins against FC Midtjylland and Hvidovre IF, they will go into the match high on confidence.

Copenhagen host Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, November 8.
