How to watch the 2023 Tour de France – TV and live stream details, stage schedule

After their thrilling battle last year, Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) and Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) renew their rivalry at the 2023 Tour de France in July.

Jumbo-Visma claimed their first yellow jersey in 2022 after the double-threat of Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic bludgeoned Pogacar in the mountains, with Wout van Aert chipping in for good measure.
Pogacar had a sensational Spring Classics campaign but arrives with a big question mark hanging over him after he fractured his wrist in a crash at Liege-Bastogne-Liege. The Slovenian only returned to full training on the road in June – although given his bumper start to the year, a mini break may have helped, not hindered.

Last year’s Giro champion Jai Hindley (Bora-hansgrohe) is hoping to make it a GC party for three, while Egan Bernal (Ineos Grenadiers) will also be keen to have a say – should he be picked – after a mildly promising showing at the Criterium du Dauphine.

And what of Mark Cavendish? After his glorious return to winning ways at the Giro d’Italia on the final stage, the Astana Qazaqstan man will be full of confidence as he attempts to claim the outright record of Tour stage wins. He is currently tied with Belgian great Eddy Merckx on 34.

Elsewhere, Tom Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers) will be hoping to put on another descending masterclass, Van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) will resume their personal duel and the Yates brothers – Simon (Jayco-AlUla) and Adam (UAE Team Emirates) – will put family ties aside as they compete on the French roads.
