Hugh Jackman addresses Deborra-Lee Furness split: ‘Difficult time’
He ain’t saying jack s–t.
Hugh Jackman, 54, isn’t ready to speak about his surprise split from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, 67.
Jackman was spotted Saturday in NYC wearing a dark T-shirt that showed off his bulging muscles, as well as black pants, black shoes and sunglasses.
“I don’t feel quite right talking about it on the street,” Jackman said when approached by a cameraman. “But I appreciate your thoughts, man.”
“It’s a difficult time,” continued “The Wolverine” star.
The photographer began to grill Jackman about the status of “Deadpool 3,” which is in limbo due to the Hollywood writers and actors strikes.
“Well, I can’t really know … until I get back to work,” the actor continued as he walked away. “As soon as possible, man.”
The Post reached out to Jackman for comment.
The brief interview came one day after “The Greatest Showman” star announced Friday that he and Furness have separated.
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the couple shared in a joint statement to People.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.”
They added: “We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
Jackman and Furness said it was “the sole statement either of us will make.”
The ex-couple met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV show “Correlli” and married the following year in a church outside Melbourne, Australia.
In 2021, the “Logan” star paid tribute to his 25-year marriage in a sweet Instagram post.
“Being married to you Deb is as natural as breathing,” he wrote in the caption.
“From nearly the moment we met … I knew our destiny was to be together,” Jackman continued. “In our 25 years — our love has only grown deeper. The fun, excitement and adventure more exhilarating; the learning even greater. I’m forever grateful to share our love, our life — and, our family together. We’ve only just begun. Deb, I love you with all my heart!”
In the days leading up to the shocking announcement, Furness was spotted getting out of a black SUV and walking around NYC in a stylish all-black outfit minus her wedding ring.
The couple have two adopted children, Oscar, 23 and Ava, 18.
