Hunter Biden deposition set for Feb. 28 in impeachment probe

Have a seat, Hunter. Let’s talk.

First son Hunter Biden on Thursday agreed to appear for a deposition on Capitol Hill with the House committees leading the impeachment inquiry into President Biden for alleged corruption.

Hunter, 53, agreed to testify on Feb. 28 — likely heading off further action to hold him in contempt of Congress for flouting an earlier Dec. 13 deposition date.

“We look forward to Hunter Biden’s testimony,” House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said in a joint statement.

“His deposition will come after several interviews with Biden family members and associates,” the chairmen said — though it’s currently unclear which other members of the president’s family have testified.

House Republicans are investigating the elder Biden’s links to his relatives’ lucrative foreign dealings during and immediately after his vice presidency, as well as an alleged Justice Department coverup to shield Joe and Hunter Biden from scrutiny.

Joe Biden has maintained that he “never” discussed business with Hunter or with first brother James Biden — insisting last month that he also “did not” interact with their partners, despite evidence he met with their Chinese, Kazakhstani, Mexican, Russian and Ukrainian associates.
