I deleted Kanye West music to support Kim Kardashian
Chelsea Clinton is team Kim Kardashian all the way.
The only child of former president Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton is an avid runner and revealed that she erased songs by the reality star’s ex-husband Kanye West from her sports playlist.
“I’ve had to let go of Kanye, because it’s just, I can’t,” Clinton, 42, recently told Entertainment Weekly.
“Just the way that he has treated Kim Kardashian, the way that he has talked about women is unconscionable to me,” she continued. “That was some of my favorite running music. And I have removed it from my music library.”
Kardashian, 41, and the rapper, 45, announced plans to divorce in January 2021 and their issues have since played out in the media.
When the Skims CEO began dating former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson late last year, West repeatedly made jabs at them for their relationship.
Kardashian will appear on the “It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired and Get Going!” author’s new companion Apple TV+ docuseries, “Gutsy,” that she made alongside her mother, former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The younger Clinton also explained to the publication how much affection she has for Kardashian since she appeared on the series.
“I have long admired Kim’s commitment to criminal justice reform,” Clinton said of the reality star, who passed the “baby bar” exam late last year.
“I knew that [Kardashian] was doggedly committed to these issues, and to individual incarcerated people’s efforts to lessen their sentences or fully commute their sentences,” the former first daughter continued.
“But to hear her talk about how this is such a significant part of her identity, of how she thinks about her role as a celebrity, of how thoughtful she is about where her celebrity can help and where it may be harmful,” she added. “I just was really impressed by how not only important this is to her, but how important this is to her definition of who she is.”
