I got bangs and now look like Frodo from ‘Lord of the Rings’

A New Zealand woman went to the hair salon and came back looking like she was from Middle-earth.

Annie McElvein, 25, posted a now-viral TikTok before and after she got front bangs.

In the clip, the environmental science student first captured her excitement in the car and on the way to get her new hairstyle — but after it was chopped, she held up a picture of Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins from “Lord of the Rings.”

McElvein’s bright, blue eyes popped against her wet hair, which made her look strikingly similar to the 41-year-old actor.

Luckily, as she told South West News Service, McElvein found the humor in her new look.

“I didn’t ask to look like him, but I’m not upset about it,” she admitted. “I’m a huge ‘Lord Of The Rings’ fan, so when I noticed I was like, ‘Hell, yeah.’

“When I say I’m the biggest ‘Lord Of The Rings’ fan, I mean I can spend hours a day watching videos on YouTube. It’s what I talk about at parties,” she added.

“I hope maybe Elijah sees I look just like him. I would love to meet him — maybe he’d want to meet me,” McElvein said of her distant twin.

Her TikTok clip now has over 8.2 million views and more than 15,600 comments — many of which quoted fellow “Rings” star Dominic Monaghan’s spoof interview with Wood in which he insistently asks whether Wood wears wigs.

“The way I was gonna comment do you wear wigs but everyone else beat me,” one person wrote.

“I knew the comments would be about wigs I’m wheezing,” another commenter laughed.

“You said bangs and the stylist misheard Baggins,” one joked.

“Did you realize this resemblance before the cut or was it an epiphany after?” another asked McElvein of the resemblance.

“That’s scary how accurate it is,” one other added.

The Post has contacted a rep for Wood for comment.
