I stop hangovers by ‘spiritually connecting’ with alcohol

The secret to waking up hangover free is all in the way you think, according to one psychic.

Psychic medium Nicolle Merrilyne claims the secret to waking up with a clear head and no hangover is to “ground” yourself and your alcohol before consuming it.

In a TikTok video, which has been viewed almost 180,000 times, Merrilyne claims she “has” to clear “unwanted” energy out before she drinks, saying that results in her not being hungover.

“Grounding” or “Earthing” is a therapeutic technique that involves participating in activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the Earth, according to Healthline.

“We absorb energy like sponges,” the psychic explains in the video. “Think about if your bartender got a parking ticket, their frustrated energy could be in your drink that you then absorb and carry.”

Merrilyne then describes how she spiritually connects with her alcohol before drinking it, saying she visualizes a “grounding cord” growing out from the bottom of my drink all the way down to the core of the Earth.

“From there I will bring 3 gold suns (psychic tool) through the top of the drink and out through the grounding cord,” she said. “I set the intention of the gold suns to clear out any energy that is not my own or of my highest and greatest good.”

The psychic claims it doesn’t have to be a lengthy process, telling her followers it “takes less than a minute” and hugely impacts her energy and hangovers.

“Try it next time you drink!” she urged. “I rarely drink but this helps me a lot.”

The advice was met with mixed reactions, many excited to try the practice while others were skeptical.

“I always send positive affirmations to my food and water I consume,” a follower claimed.

“Interesting! I ground myself but have never thought of grounding things,” said another.

Others were less convinced.

“Wow. what unfounded bulls–t,” one user wrote, while others simply replied with “lol.”

“Sounds more like gaslighting myself into thinking that’s not as bad as it really is,” added another.

If grounding your alcohol still results in you feeling a little dusty the next day, another TikToker claims the secret to curing a hangover is greasy food — and lots of it.
