I thought I’d found my dream man – then he put me off guys for life

A woman has gone viral after her would-be Romeo flattered her with the sweetest texts only to then send something completely different the following day.

Those who are not in a relationship know how frustrating the dating scene can be – there’s the stressful first dates to consider, the awkward I Like Yous, not to mention the chances of getting ghosted.

For one woman, none of this was an issue, as things were off to a great start and she was flooded with extremely sweet texts.

But, according to her, the joys didn’t last very long, as she took it to social media to share the story.

In a video, which has since blown up on TikTok, one user posted screenshots of the conversation she had with a would-be Romeo, who seemed to be totally into the young woman.

”And i had an absolute blast being with you [sic]!” the man said, before adding that he really liked her.

A few messages later, he wrote: ”I just think you deserve everything and i want to be everything for you [sic].

”Thanks for understanding my shortcomings/insecurities. It really means a lot to me.”

Whilst he did admit that he was ”not perfect,” the guy said he wanted to be ”the best partner” he could possibly be.

However, it all took a very sharp turn the next day, as the woman opened her phone to see a notification that we all know never ends well.

”Hey im sorry, can i call [sic]?”

Although she did not reveal whether the two had a chat, the woman did insert a screenshot of the lengthy message he had sent afterwards, explaining his reasonings.

In the first paragraph, according to her, he apologized for his actions and having said things he didn’t mean.

”That was out of line and unfair to you.”

But although, as the guy went on to type, he felt the connection had been great, especially as the two valued the same things, he was simply missing that spark.

”I just didnt feel the connection i wish i did, and i got ahead of myself because we should work so well together on paper [sic].”

”I came forward today because i didnt want to lead you on any further [sic],” he ended the message before wishing the best for her.

The video has gone viral, with more than 580,000 views, and has seen hundreds of viewers sharing their experiences.

”This is literally every man I’ve ever dated. Everything’s perfect one day and they bail a day later,” wrote one woman.

A second said: ”literally a man gave me a forehead kiss and said i can’t wait to get to know u more to my face and ghosted me the next day [sic].”
