I work at Starbucks — here’s the secret to saving money on your coffee

Wake up and smell the savings.

A Starbucks barista has shared her tips on how to save money at the coffee counter.

British singer-songwriter Kate Mattson, who works at the coffee chain on the side, uploaded her tricks to TikTok on Monday.

In fact, Mattson risked her position to make the video in the backroom of the shop during her break — and forced to pause when her supervisor walked in.

“First one: the size small and the size medium has the same amount of coffee in them, it’s just the difference in the milk, so if you want the same amount of coffee, just get the small,” Mattson advised in her first tip.

“Second one: if you don’t want to pay for syrup, just hang around at the end of the bar and be like ‘oh sorry, I meant to ask for syrup’, or ‘can I make it sweeter?’ and the barista will just give you syrups, they don’t care, they won’t charge you,” she claimed.

Viewers warned that the barista’s discount coffee hacks could land her in hot water with her employer.

“If you order three shots, most likely you’re going to get four because they can only do two shots at a time,” Mattson added.

“Also, if you’re nice to the barista, they’re way more likely to give you free stuff, maybe a bigger size. You never know,” she concluded.

The video has already racked up over 124,000 views on TikTok.

While many commenters were grateful for the savvy shopping tips, others warned that the coffee giant wouldn’t be too impressed with her advice.

“Girl be careful they will drag you into a disciplinary for stuff like this,” one user advised Mattson.

“As someone who also works at Starbucks, I would take this down! 2 people in a shop near me got sacked on the spot for this,” another wrote.

“Remove this hun don’t get yourself in trouble p.s thank you for being sharing this anyway,” another said.

The Post has contacted Starbucks for comment.

Last week, a group of protesters stepped into boots embedded in concrete outside a Nashville Starbucks, blocking the store’s entrances and exits while waving signs to “end the vegan upcharge” on plant-based milks.
