Ian Ziering throws first punch in biker fight in new video
Shocking new video of the brazen attack involving “Beverly Hill, 90210” star Ian Ziering emerged Wednesday, which allegedly shows the actor throwing the first punch.
According to the New Year’s Eve clip obtained by TMZ, Ziering’s Mercedes appears to get blocked by another vehicle when he rolls up to the intersection on Hollywood Boulevard.
At this point, several members of the 605 minibike gang approaches the “Sharknado” star’s vehicle. Two of them then manage to position themselves in front of the car as if to prevent the actor from leaving.
Ziering, 59, then takes a swipe at the nearest person surrounding him.
During the fight, Ziering’s $100,000 car was significantly damaged after someone shattered the windshield and the side view mirror.
He later took to Instagram to express his anger at law enforcement, claiming that he was forced to take matters into his own hands due to their delay.
“Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes. While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation,” Ziering wrote on Monday. “In an attempt to assess any damage I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself.”
The actor claimed that while he and his 12-year-old daughter — who was in the backseat at the time of the altercation — were more or less unharmed, “the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace.”
According to Ziering, the attack “highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior.”
The Post reached out to Ziering for comment.
Since posting on Instagram, a few of Ziering’s “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-stars, including Jason Priestley, 54, Shannen Doherty, 52, and Brian Austin Green, have expressed their outrage.
“Hey, so I didn’t get a chance to get into this at all,” Green, 50, said in his Instagram Story. “My boy Ian Ziering got into a fistfight on Hollywood Boulevard with like five dudes, and f – – king like beat them, did it, did his thing.”
“He’s a monster. He’s f – – king incredibly fit, obviously. I would not suggest, to anyone, to fight people, especially not now in this climate,” he continued. “But, you know what? All turned out well. Z, I love you, brother, you’re a beast, good on you.”
Additional TMZ footage showed Ziering comforting his daughter after the attack.
On Tuesday, Ziering was spotted for the first time since the incident wearing a hat that read “Good Vibes.”
