Ice-T’s secret to staying married to wife Coco Austin? ‘Jungle sex’

It’s a jungle out there — and in the bedroom according to Ice-T.

The Grammy-nominated rapper revealed the secret to his 23-year marriage to wife Coco Austin and he revealed that the couple enjoys to keep things wild and crazy… emphasis on the wild.

While celebrating the 25th anniversay season of “Law & Order: SVU” in New York City on Tuesday, the rapper, 65, told E! News that the two enjoy “jungle sex.”

“When that flame goes out and you’re not really attracted to each other anymore,” he continued. “You have to address that very quickly because it’s something that’s necessary.”

The couple’s longevity is definitely also due to the fact that they are on the same page inside and outside of the bedroom with the actor referring to his wife as his “teammate.”

“I think Coco and I are teammates,” he said. “We have to be teammates, not opponents, not assets, not liabilities. I value what she brings to me, and I think it’s vice versa. We appreciate each other.”

Ice-T and Austin first met on a music video set in 2001 when they were introduced by mutual friend “Rickey Recardo AKA Rolls Royce Rick.” At the time, Austin was working as a model in California while Ice-T was based in New York where he filmed “Law and Order: SVU.”

They got married a few short months later on New Year’s Day at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas in 2002 and made their first public appearance together at the MECCA Movie Awards, which was hosted at the Directors Guild of America in N.Y.C.

After outlasting most Hollywood marriages, Ice-T confessed that his longevity with Austin hinges upon finding someone “ready for all the scenes” of life.

“Getting married is like casting for a movie,” he explained. “You got to pick somebody who’s ready for all the scenes. Now, there’s gonna be fun scenes. There’s gonna be sad scenes. There’s gonna be tough scenes. There’s gonna be fight scenes. A lot of people don’t sign up for the whole movie. They just sign up for the good part.”

The couple share 8-year-old Chanel Nicole Marrow together. The “Ugly Dolls” actor is also the father to daughter LeTesha Marrow, 47, whom he shares with his high school girlfriend Adrienne, and son Tracy Marrow Jr., 32, with ex-girlfriend Darlene Ortiz.

Austin and Ice-T celebrated their 23rd anniversary this month.

“Here’s to 23 years with this guy!! My rock! My diamond in the rough! Love you beyond #HappyAnniversary#HappyNewYear2024 #nowordscandescribe,” Coco, 44, commented on a photo from their wedding in a post on December 31, 2023.

According to Coco’s blog, it was “the most romantic, beautiful moment ever.”

“We got married pretty fast,” she wrote. “He became my best friend and this instantly was someone I didn’t want to live without. We just knew we wanted to be together, we were like yin and yang, like peanut butter and jelly. LOL.”

“We didn’t tell no body [sic], no family, no friends, we just kept it between us, we didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings so we just kept it to ourselves,” she continued. “I will never forget looking at him face to face just me and him no one else in the room but a priest and a pianist. He got choked up while he spoke which made me get choked up.”

On June 12, 2011 the couple debuted their reality show “Ice Loves Coco” on E! on June 12, 2011.

The series featured the couple’s daily shenanigans and ran for three seasons up until Jan. 6, 2013. The couple currently lives in New Jersey where Ice still loves Coco.
