Impossible’ actress Emmanuelle Béart reveals she’s a victim of incest

“Mission: Impossible” star Emmanuelle Béart says she spent years of her childhood being sexually abused by a relative.

The French actress, 60, is set to detail the shock incest claim in the new documentary, “Such a Resounding Silence,” set to air in her home country later this month.

Director Anastasia Mikova appeared at a news conference about the forthcoming film on Tuesday, saying the documentary will not publicly identify the actress’s abuser.

However, it was confirmed that the alleged perpetrator was not Béart’s famous father, singer Guy Béart.

Béart’s abuse allegedly began when she was just 10-years-old and continued until she was 14.

The actress also appeared at the conference via video link and admitted that she was not initially comfortable discussing her harrowing experiences.

She wanted to only talk about other incest victims and shine a light on their struggles.

“But their honesty and their courage made me want to speak out, too,” she said at the conference, according to Daily Mail.

In the documentary, Béart talks about her abuser, noting: “Since my father, my mother and my friends didn’t notice anything, you could do this again, and you did, over four years.”

She added that her grandmother “saved” her from the pain.
