Isabel Lawson missing after slipping out of Fla. addiction center

A former model who suffers from mental health issues has disappeared from an addiction treatment center in Florida – and was last seen with a homeless man at a gas station in Alabama.

Isabel Lawson, 24, a blue-eyed 5-foot-10 blonde who moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue a modeling career, snuck out of a Pensacola treatment center for women on Tuesday, news station WEAR reported.

Her parents, Anna and Lance Lawson, haven’t slept since getting word that she slipped out of the non-lockdown facility, according to the report.

“We’re really concerned about her safety,” Anna told WEAR. “She has mental health issues. She doesn’t have any identification with her. No phone. Nothing.

“She’s from Santa Rosa, so she doesn’t know anyone here [in Pensacola]. She’s not familiar with the area at all,” she added about her daughter, who has appeared in fashion mags both in the US and abroad.

The couple, Pensacola police and the anti-trafficking group The Shepherds have been looking for Lawson since her disappearance.

On Thursday, the parents told the outlet that surveillance video captured their daughter at a gas station in Mobile, Alabama, where she was seen in the company of a homeless man.

The Shepherds group has managed to contact the man, but Lawson remains missing and the search continues.

After she left the treatment center, Lawson was seen at the Circle K on Cervantes Street and North Davis Highway in Pensacola, where an employee said she was asking people for rides.

Her parents said she has been dealing with addiction for years — but added that she has been sober for six months.

“She’s a beautiful, young girl, kind-hearted and vulnerable. She would probably walk away with anyone,” Anna told WEAR.

“We’re very scared and worried for you,” she added in a message to her daughter. “We just want you to be safe and we love you very much. Please contact us if you can.”

Brad Dennis, a member of The Shepherds, said everyone who goes missing needs to have a similar response to her parents.

”Every time someone goes missing it’s usually for a need,” he told WEAR.

“They’re running to something or from something. If we can step into their lives for a moment maybe we can provide another option or solution for them,” he added.

Anyone with information on Isabel’s whereabouts is asked to contact Pensacola police at (850) 435-1900 or The Shepherds at (929) 346-3663.
