It would be my ‘dream job’ to host ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Could Andy Cohen have another hosting gig under his belt soon?

The 55-year-old “Watch What Happens Live” emcee is gunning to host “Wheel of Fortune” following longtime star Pat Sajak’s recent retirement announcement.

“Dream, dream job. I would love to,” Cohen told Us Weekly about tossing his hat in the ring to replace Sajak, 76.

“That would be incredible,” the Bravo celebrity gushed.

He went on: “Not only is a game show the thing that I haven’t done yet, but that is the premiere game show. It’s really fun.”

Sajak shocked the nation on June 12 when he dropped the bombshell that he would be leaving the game show after over four decades on air.

He was hired to host “Wheel” back in 1981 after OG emcee Chuck Woolery left.

Cohen also commended Sajak on his long tenure on the colorful trivia show, calling him “underrated.”

The Sirius XM radio personality noted: “I don’t think people understand how hard it is to host that show and what a good job he does. He’s smart, he’s funny, he’s a great host.”

“There’s a reason he is been on for so long. But yeah, absolutely. I mean, that would be a dream,” he said.

Sajak tweeted the news of his retirement earlier this month.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” the Chicago native penned.

“It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)” he added.

The hunt for a new host has already commenced, with many A-list names thrown into the mix.

Sports journalist Stephen A. Smith is currently vying for the role alongside “The View” cohost Whoopi Goldberg.

Fans have also been clamoring for letter-turner Vanna White — and Sajak’s longtime right-hand woman — to take over his spot.

His 28-year-old daughter Maggie Sajak is also a top contender as well as “Live with Kelly and Ryan” icon Ryan Seacrest.

“Access Hollywood” anchor Mario Lopez is even on the shortlist to host “Wheel of Fortune,” according to The Blast.

Sources close to production told the publication that “Mario’s name being tossed into the conversation is in the very early stages.”
