Jamie Foxx ‘finally picked up the phone’ after mystery illness

Jamie Foxx is apparently taking John Boyega’s phone calls as he recovers from a mysterious illness.

The Oscar winner, 55, suffered a “medical complication” earlier this year and the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star, 31, gave some insight into his recovery Tuesday evening.

Boyega told People at the premiere of their new Netflix film “They Cloned Tyrone” that he called Foxx recently.

“He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro,” Boyega said.

The British actor went on about the “Ray” star: “He’s doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return.”

Boyega continued, “I gave him the well wishes directly. I gave him all the well wishes. So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro.”

On June 14, the “Woman King” star confessed to “Entertainment Tonight” that he had been trying to get in touch with the “Blame It” singer for some time now.

“I’ve been calling, I’m just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up. Come on Jamie!” Boyega pleaded. “I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with, and we just wish him all the best.”

His “They Cloned Tyrone” co-star Teyonah Parris also sent her sentiments for Foxx’s healing.

The “Mad Men” alum, 35, gushed over Foxx, saying that “it was just such an honor to work with him.”

“He’s so generous as an actor and as a human, along with John. I got lucky to be able to work with such dope men on this project, and dope men of color, that it was just so much fun,” Parris said.

“We would never work. We all just had fun laughing and partying,” she joked.

Foxx’s daughter Corinne announced back in April that he had been hospitalized; however, she did not specify exactly what illness he endured.

On May 12, she disputed claims that the “Django Unchained” actor wasn’t doing OK and posted on social media that he was finally out of a medical facility.

“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she noted.

“My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!” she went on. “Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
