Jamie Lee Curtis crowns Tiffany Haddish ‘Queen of Groupon’
Jamie Lee Curtis was baffled to find out that her “Haunted Mansion” co-star Tiffany Haddish religiously uses Groupon.
Haddish, 43, seems to make Groupon adventures a tradition while she prepares to shoot movies, and she’s done it again — six years after notoriously taking “Girls Trip” co-star Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband Will Smith on a swamp tour she found on Groupon.
But this time, she opted for ghosts instead of swamps.
“I did the haunted walking tour. I had got a Groupon. None of the cast went with me, but my team, my hair and makeup, my assistant,” Haddish told Entertainment Weekly during a press interview for Disney’s upcoming “Haunted Mansion” movie.
“Yeah, with a Groupon. I do everything on Groupon,” she added.
Curtis, 64, couldn’t believe what she was hearing and asked Haddish to elaborate.
“It was a walking one,” the comedian explained. “It was five of us, it was only, like, $100.”
Curtis, still shocked, repeated the revelation out loud: “Tiffany Haddish did a Groupon ghost tour in New Orleans.”
Haddish responded, declaring, “I’m the queen of Groupon!”
But the “Freaky Friday” star still could not wrap her head around the idea of Haddish using a Groupon.
“I’m sorry, I’m just going to go back: Tiffany Haddish did a Groupon ghost tour. I’m just saying,” Curtis said in disbelief. “This is a reality show that I would pay good money to watch.”
Yet Haddish had a fun time — even though she “didn’t see no ghosts on the Groupon tour.”
Back in 2017, Haddish said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that she took the Smiths on a swamp tour while filming “Girls Trip” in Louisiana, sharing that Pinkett Smith didn’t know what a Groupon was and assumed Haddish meant she “had a boat that you could take a group of people on” — a story that went viral and landed her a gig in a Groupon Super Bowl ad.
Disney’s “Haunted Mansion” hits theaters on July 28.
