Jasmin St. Claire reveals how she went from porn to becoming a TNA pro wrestler

A woman has given bodyslam a whole new meaning.

Former porn star Jasmin St. Claire, 49, who lives in Los Angeles, California, went from sleeping with 300 people in one day in an adult film to becoming a renowned wrestler.

After quitting porn in 2000, the long time wrestling fan decided to take a swing at fighting in WWE’s Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and later with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

“It put me on the map in some weird way. It’s sort of like one of those things where people remember you for something but they don’t always know what it is,” St. Claire told Holly Randall on her Unfiltered podcast.

St. Claire explained how in addition to battling fellow wrestlers in the ring, she’s had to fight people’s misconceptions about her due to her past in the porn industry.

“People thought I was just some porn girl who can’t wrestle and there is a lot that goes into it,” St. Claire told Scott Mitchell in an interview with PWMania.com last week.

“It’s a matter of gaining people’s respect. At the end of the day, I was only there to prove something to myself, nobody else. I just kept going about what I was doing and let everything go in one ear and out the other.”

St. Claire’s first claim to fame was in the 1990s as an adult actress who starred in a film in which she reportedly slept with 300 men, making it one of the largest orgies ever filmed. St. Claire said she has no regrets.

“It was my idea, that’s what most people don’t know. I don’t regret doing it, I think it’s actually really funny,” St. Claire explained.

St. Claire has proved her muscle is nothing to laugh about. She’s gone up against major fighters like the “Queen of Extreme” Francine and even threatened to fight rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

“I’d seriously love to knock those little jewels off his face and just knock whatever he thinks he has going on up there out,” she said last year.

In addition to sparring with others, the multi-hyphenate artist takes on herself in her one woman show,  A Weird Kind of Fame, which she performed earlier this month at the Cutting Room in New York City and at the The Annoyance Theater and Bar in Chicago.
