Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Wilde’s kids crash his TV ESPN interview
Ted Lasso’s kids just made their ESPN debut.
Jason Sudeikis, 48, joined WNBA legends Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi on ESPN’s “Bird & Taurasi Show” Christmas Day, but was quickly overshadowed by his kids — who crashed the interview.
As basketball fan Sudeikis offered commentary, his children – son Otis, 9, and daughter Daisy, 7 – came into the camera frame and hung onto his arms.
When asked about their predictions for the winner between the Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks, Daisy said, “I don’t know,” while Otis picked the New York Knicks.
He turned out to be right, since the Knicks beat the Bucks 129-122.
Sudeikis, who was clad in a festive Santa hat, initially tried to get his kids to go back off-camera, jokingly telling them to “Go fetch” and “Get out of here!”
Sudeikis has Daisy and Otis with his ex, Olivia Wilde, 39. The two dated from 2011 to 2020. They got engaged in 2013, but never tied the knot.
After their split, they had a bitter custody battle.
Their former nanny sued them for wrongful termination and also claimed she was often officiating the couple’s drama, which included an alleged incident where Sudeikis threw himself under Wilde’s car in an attempt to thwart her from giving her “special salad dressing” to her new beau, Harry Styles, 29. (In November 2022, Wilde and the musician split after nearly two years of dating.)
Sudeikis also served Wilde custody legal papers while she was onstage at CinemaCon in April 2022. She was handed a manilla envelope from a woman who slid it onstage in the middle of the presentation, asking her: “This is for me?” After opening the documents, she carried on showing the trailer for her film, “Don’t Worry Darling,” but later slammed the “aggressive” way that he served the papers and was allegedly “mortified.”
Sudeikis allegedly had “no knowledge” of the plans and would “never condone” Wilde being served in such an “inappropriate manner,” Page Six later reported.
They settled their custody battle in September, with the “Ted Lasso” star allegedly paying Wilde $27,500 per month in child support.
Their kids didn’t seem too impacted by the messy proceedings. After trolling their dad during his ESPN interview, they left, but later returned, telling viewers to “subscribe now” to the “Bird & Taurasi Show.”
Bird chimed in, “They are speaking our language!”
Although Sudeikis said “oh my gosh,” about his kids’ unexpected cameos, Bird and Taurasi said that they had the “Christmas spirit.”
Sudeikis quipped: “I wish I could blame this on Christmas.”
