Jennifer Aniston attends first work event since Matthew Perry’s death

Life goes on.

For the first time since Matthew Perry’s shocking death, Jennifer Aniston attended a public work event.

On Thursday, Aniston, 54, took part in a screening in Los Angeles with her “The Morning Show” co-stars Reese Witherspoon, 47, and Jon Hamm, 52, where they participated in a Q&A onstage.

Currently with three seasons under its belt and renewed for a Season 4, the Apple TV+ series follows Alex Levy (Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon), the stars of a fictional news network and their drama, both in front of the camera and behind it.

The show got six Critics Choice Awards nominations this year, beating “Succession” (which got five), despite “The Morning Show” having wild plot lines like sending Bradley to space.

During the Q&A, Deadline reports that Aniston hinted that Season 4 might explore Alex’s backstory with Chip (Mark Duplass).

“It would be interesting to see the origin story of that. Yes, I think that’s one of the things we might’ve heard,” Aniston said.

Witherspoon teased that Bradley might “be in jail, but I don’t know if I’m in trouble,” because Season 3 revealed that she was at the Jan. 6 insurrection in Washington, DC, and deleted footage of her brother Hal (Joe Tippett) assaulting a police officer.

The event marked Aniston’s first major appearance for work since her “Friends” co-star Perry died at age 54 on Oct. 28, of apparent drowning in his hot tub at his Los Angeles home.

The LA County Medical Examiner’s Office has since labeled Perry’s cause of death as “deferred” while awaiting the results of additional tests — including a toxicology report.

Aniston reunited with her other “Friends” co-stars — Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc — to attend Perry’s funeral on Nov. 3.

A source close to the “Morning Show” star told the Daily Mail that Aniston was one of the “first to arrive” at his funeral on Nov. 3, and she “kept to herself” during the private ceremony.

Aniston made it clear that she was distraught about his death, with a long Instagram tribute post on Nov. 15, in which she called him “little brother.”

“Oh boy this one has cut deep… Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before,” she wrote.

“We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply. He was such a part of our DNA…He made all of us laugh. And laugh hard. In the last couple weeks, I’ve been pouring over our texts to one another. Laughing and crying then laughing again. I’ll keep them forever and ever.”

Aniston concluded the tribute writing, “Matty, I love you so much,” and “I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day… You always made my day.”
