‘Jeopardy!’ fans in uproar after Mayim Bialik promo

Bialik’s return is really scaring fans.

Some viewers of the hit game show “Jeopardy!” were in an uproar Tuesday after a new promo for the long-running quiz show featured Mayim Bialik.

Bialik, who has not been on the show since the WGA writer’s strike began in May, appeared on the official “Jeopardy!” Instagram account, which was promoting their upcoming Halloween special “13 Nights of Jeoparween!”

Wearing a black dress and white collar, reminiscent of Wednesday Addams, Bialik, 47, can be seen posing with her co-host Ken Jennings, 49, who is wearing a cloak shrouding his face.

“We bid you welcome to 13 Nights of #Jeoparween,” the photo’s caption reads. “Where the spookiest categories to ever haunt The Alex Trebek Stage make their presence known from now until Halloween night.”

The caption adds that those who wish to follow the spookiest competition can view it on the show’s YouTube or TikTok.

Bialik’s appearance in the material has sparked a mixed reaction from fans.

“Mayim? Thanks for the warning,” one user commented.

“She should stay on strike,” a second person commented, adding they were “unfollowing” the account.

“Oh no not her again,” one user moaned, adding a crying emoji.

“Mayim hosting truly IS scary,” a fourth fan commented.

Other users, however, were thrilled to see the “Big Bang Theory” alum return.

“Yay, Mayim,” one fan squealed.

“Can’t wait to have Mayim back,” a second fan gushed.

“Yay Mayim,” one user commented addressing several of naysayers on the post. “Don’t like it, don’t watch. I dont think she cares if you watch or not, in fact nobody cares. If you like the old shows watch them on Youtube or wherever.. stop being haters and use that energy for something good. Yay Mayim!”

Despite many of the comments bashing the “Call Me Kat” star, one user bashed Jennings and his “passive-agressive attitude.”

“No worries about scary,” the fan snarked. “K.J. Has that covered with his passive aggressive attitude. Contestants beware.”

The Post reached out to Bialik for comment.

The former “Blossom” star gained the ire of die-hard “Jeopardy!” fans after several of them accused her of being inconsistent with the syndicated show’s rules.

One such incident occurred in June 2023 during the show’s Double “Jeopardy!” after on contest selected a question under the “Presidential Doin’s” category.

“Made Henry Clay Secretary of State; 2 years after the White House, settled into a new House (of Representatives),” the clue read.

Before the strike, “Jeopardy!” was hosted by Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings.

One contestant immediately answered “who is Adams,” prompting Bialik — who recently admitted she wouldn’t do well competing on the show — to ask which of the two former presidents he meant.

Upon clarifying he was speaking of the nation’s second president John Adams, the host declared the answer incorrect.

Another contestant answered the question correctly by declaring it was John Quincy Adams.

Bialik’s response for clarification sent fans into a tizzy as the host had not asked for more information about a previous question regarding William Henry Harrison.

Despite seemingly returning for the Halloween special, Bialik had refused to acknowledge if she will be returning to the game show full-time.
