Jesse Marsch: Leeds United sack manager after 11 months in charge following seven-match Premier League winless run
Leeds United have confirmed the sacking of manager Jesse Marsch following the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
Leeds haven’t won in the Premier League since November 5 when they beat AFC Bournemouth in a 4-3 thriller.
The loss to relegation rivals Forest has left Leeds 17th in the Premier League table, level on points with Everton, who are in the relegation zone.

Marsch helped Leeds avoid relegation last season after replacing Marcelo Bielsa but they have now gone seven league matches without a win.
A club statement said: “Jesse joined the club in February 2022 and was instrumental in keeping the club in the Premier League on the final day of last season.
“We would like to thank Jesse and his backroom staff for their efforts and wish them well for the future.
“The process of appointing a new head coach is underway and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days.”
Leeds’ only wins since November 5 have both been in the FA Cup against lower-league opposition.
Their next two games are both against Manchester United, starting with an away trip on Wednesday, February 8.
Leeds then face crunch games against relegation rivals Everton and Southampton.
Leeds are a point ahead of Bournemouth in 19th and three clear of bottom-placed Southampton.
Speaking after the defeat to Forest, Marsch said: “I’m almost in disbelief that we found a way to lose because for me, we’re better in almost every phase.
“We controlled the match and we should win but right now, we are finding ways to lose and that’s difficult to swallow.
“I take full responsibility. I have to find a way to turn good performances into winning. That’s our last step.”
