Joe Biden fawns over Joy Behar as ‘The View’ star turns 80

Amid economic woes, soaring crime and an immigration crisis, Joe Biden has finally found a little Joy.

The problem-plagued president appeared on “The View” Wednesday to celebrate Joy Behar’s 80th birthday.

Biden — who will turn 80 next month — fawned over the veteran comedian in a prerecorded message, which he taped with wife Jill.

“From the whole Biden family, happy birthday, Joy!” the commander in chief cooed. “You speak your mind. You speak from the heart. You stand up for what you believe, and you do it with warmth, humor and authenticity.”

“You and your friends at ‘The View’ started a national conversation 25 years ago that’s still going on,” Biden said.

First Lady Jill then chimed in with her own sentiments, directly addressing Behar, saying: “No one is better named than you. You brought joy to so many of your friends and admirers with your trademark humor and that smile that lights up the room.”

Behar — an avowed Democrat who regularly defends the president’s performance on the air — appeared shocked by the president’s personal video message.

The funnywoman added that the personal message was “pretty impressive.”

However, the Bidens weren’t the only big names to appear via video to help Behar mark her milestone birthday. Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman and Bette Midler also celebrated “The View” veteran with personalized messages.

“You’re who I wish I was. I love you,” Midler declared in her taped tribute.

Behar’s “The View” co-hosts — including close pal Whoopi Goldberg — also acknowledged the comedian’s big birthday.

Behar actually turned 80 on Oct. 7, but Wednesday marked her first time back at “The View” table after taking more than a week off.

The entertainer has recently dismissed rumors she’s soon set to retire from the daytime program, saying she’s going to stick around until she’s in her mid-80s.

“I just signed a contract, so I’ll be here for a while,” the comedian told People. “I have no plans to retire.”

Back in July, ABC told The Post that Behar had inked a new three-year contract that will keep her tied to the network until 2025, refuting a report by the Independent Journal Review that claimed she was gearing up to announce her exit from “The View.”

Speaking with People, Behar fawned over the show, touting its longevity and strong ratings.

“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she proclaimed of “The View,” which she joined back in 1997. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most watched!”

“I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time,” Behar added.
