‘Joesthetics’ aka Jo Lindner’s final Instagram post hints at health battles
The final Instagram post of bodybuilder Jo Lindner, who died Friday at the age of 30, revealed that he was undergoing some health issues following his Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT).
Lindner, 30, posted a group of shirtless photos and detailed his medical journey for his fans.
“When I lost my gains because I went off everything for 1 year but then could not recover my own [testosterone] levels so went back on trt,” wrote the fitness influencer. “Trust me I tried to stop but be aware it might have long-term effects for your life.”
“Trt is a big commitment keep that in mind,” continued Lindner.
The guru then explains how the last photo shows the difference between him before and after TRT.
“Show lot of size differences like – swole and not swole u can see at chest etc all slim down even my waist is smaller back then,” writes Lindner before challenging his followers to spot 12 differences in the two pictures.
It was then Lindner opened up about new problems he was facing due to a hernia.
“Also my stomach now due to my hernia surgery now it’s a new hernia there and it makes my stomach bigger,” continued the health star. “Overall this post should show that even as a natural u can look amazing and why you just need to get in shape!!”
News of the bodybuilding icon’s death was first announced by his girlfriend Nicha, known as @immapeaches on Instagram.
According to the fitness model, Lindner died in her arms after suffering an aneurysm.
“Jo is in the best place everyone,” wrote Nicha on Instagram. “Yesterday he passed away from an aneurysm … I was there with him in the room … he put on the necklace on my neck that he made for me…
then..we just lay down to cuddle.”
“He was in my arms.. then this is just happening too fast,” added the woman claiming that Lindner was complaining of neck pains prior to his death.
She called Lindner sweet, kind, loyal, strong and a “believer in everyone.”
Prior to his death, Lindner opened up to YouTuber Bradley Martyn about how he feared overtraining would give him a heart attack due to his rare muscular condition called rippling muscle disease, where muscles are unusually sensitive to movement or pressure.
“The heart is also a muscle, that’s my biggest concern that what if I get such a bad cramp that my heart gets a cramp,” Lindner told Martyn. “That makes me scared. That’s why I’m staying away from bodybuilding competitions too much.”
“Because I would take all these diuretics and if I stop eating salt and drink a lot, and then stop drinking as well, you would pee everything out, and then you would take a diuretic as well on top and then you pee even more sodium out,” the bodybuilder continued.
“I cannot exist really. I cannot even walk anymore,” concluded Lindner.
Authorities have yet to rule on an official cause of death.
