Johannes Hosflot Klaebo and Kristine Stavaas Skistad claim World Cup glory in Tallinn

Sprint world champion Johannes Hosflot Klaebo won his fourth consecutive World Cup event to strengthen his grip on the yellow bib in the cross-country World Cup sprint in Tallinn, Estonia.

The Norwegian sealed yet another gold medal with a sensational run that saw him finish in a time of 2:14.35 to open a commanding lead at the top of the overall standings with just two events to go.

It continues a run of 12 straight victories for Norwegian skiers including the World Championships, dating back to January 28 when Richard Jouve claimed gold in Les Rousses.

But there was an end to another sign of Norwegian dominance in the sport, as for the first time since January 29, there was not a Norwegian one-two, as Frenchman Lucas Chanavat claimed silver.

There was bronze for Norway though, as Even Northug climbed the podium for the third time this season to continue his best campaign in the sport.
