Johnny Depp dating lawyer Joelle Rich from UK defamation case

He lost the case but won her heart.

Johnny Depp is reportedly dating married lawyer Joelle Rich, who represented him in the bombshell UK defamation case two years ago.

“Their chemistry is off the charts,” an insider told Us Weekly of their romance. “It’s serious between them. They are the real deal.”

Rich, who is in the process of divorcing her husband, met the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star when he sued The Sun newspaper in 2018 for calling him a “wife beater,” Us Weekly reported.

The London-based privacy attorney wasn’t part of the actor’s legal team in his US case against ex-wife Amber Heard — but Rich was in the Virginia courtroom to show support, and their relationship heated up, the insider said.

“There was no professional obligation for her being there. It was personal,” the source told the outlet.

Rich was estranged from her husband, with whom she has two kids, when she met the Oscar-nominated actor, so the couple hooked up “discreetly” in hotels during the early stages of their romance, the outlet reported.

On her professional website, Rich says she has “expertise in protecting individuals’ privacy from unwarranted intrusion and media attention” along with experience litigating “libel, privacy and copyright disputes.”

She married her husband, Jonathan Rich, in July 2011, according to a local marriage announcement.

During his defamation trial against Heard, Depp was rumored to have been dating a different lawyer, Camille Vasquez, who represented him in that case.

Depp first sued the The Sun in the UK for printing allegations that Heard made detailing several instances of abuse, and lost in November 2020. He then sued Heard in the US and won in June.

A rep for Depp didn’t return The Post’s request for comment. Rich also didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
