Jonas Lenherr claims rare victory while Marielle Berger Schmidt consolidates women’s ski cross lead in Nakiska
The 34-year-old Swiss star triumphed thanks to an inspired performance on the latter stages of the Canadian track, pipping German Florian Wilmsmann, as Frenchman Youri Duplessi Kergomard settled for bronze.
On the women’s side, Hannah Schmidt triumphed much to the delight of the home crowd, with fellow Canadian Brittany Phelan joining her on the podium.
France’s Marielle Berger Sabbatel took second place and remains atop the overall women’s standings, 11 points clear of Schmidt, whose brother Jared tops the men’s rankings.
