Jonas retains IBF welterweight title after split-decision win over Mayer
“Natasha Jonas did just about enough to retain her IBF welterweight title in Liverpool, winning by split decision against Mikaela Mayer. There was very little to separate both fighters in a terrific encounter, but two judges scored the fight in favour of Jonas, while the other felt Mayer edged the contest. “She is in my top two people I’ve fought,” Jonas said afterwards.”
